West Metro Schools CU will be undergoing a major software upgrade on February 1st, 2022.  This upgrade involves moving to a more modern core processing system as well as upgraded online banking, a new branded mobile app and more.  WMSCU made the decision to upgrade our core system so we may continue to provide you with safe, secure products and services, while improving features and functionality.

While our core conversion will mostly be happening behind the scenes, there will be times where it will affect some of the services you may use.  Below you find FAQs and a calendar regarding what will affect our members.

What To Expect

  • Monday, 1/31/2022 - Branches will be open regular hours
  • Tuesday, 2/1/2022 - All branches will be closed for upgrade
  • Wednesday, 2/2/2022 - Branches will reopen at 12:00 PM CST
  • Thursday, 2/3/2022 - Branches will be open regular hours

Online Banking

  • Online banking will not be available starting at 3:00 PM CST on Monday, 1/31/2022
  • All online banking transaction history will NOT be carried over to the new system.  Please print out any history you need
  • Online banking will be back up Thursday, 2/3/2022

Mobile Banking

  • The current TouchBanking app will be available at 3:00 PM CST on Monday, 1/31/2022
  • TouchBanking app will be back up Thursday, 2/3/2022
  • A new branded app will be available sometime in April

eStatements

  • Members that receive eStatements will be able to access 6 months of prior statements

Statements

  • All members will receive a paper statement in the mail for December 2021 and January 2022

ATM Cards, Debit Cards and Credit Cards

  • ATM and debit cards will be available at reduced daily limits.  Complete functionality will be restored Thursday, 2/3/2022
  • Credit cards will not be affected by the conversion

What is a core processing system?

Our core processing system is the software that manages our banking functions.  Which includes:

  • Processing of deposits and withdrawals
  • Maintaining account information
  • Opening and managing accounts

Will West Metro Schools CU's routing number change?

No.  The routing number will remain the same.  

Will my account number change?

No, members will retain their same account numbers.

Will my information and funds be secure during the conversion process?

YES!  Keeping your information secure is our top priority.  Your funds are secure also and as always, fully insured by NCUA (National Credit Union Administration) for up to $250,000 per individual.

Will I have access to my funds during the conversion?

  • Debit cards will still be available at reduced daily limits through the upgrade period
  • Branch locations will be closed Tuesday, February 1st, 2022
  • Credit cards will not be affected during the conversion

Will any of my direct deposits, payroll deductions or automatic payments be affected?

  • Any direct deposit, payroll deductions, social security, or ACH deposits will continue.  They will convert to the new system.
  • Any automatic payment (ACH origination) we have set up on your behalf, will continue as usual

  • Save December and January paper statements for your records to verify transactions
  • Carefully review your February statement and notify us of any changes
  • Get cash ahead of time
